"Nasi Panggang"

Dating back centuries ago, there was a couple of Balinese farmers, husband and wife, Pan Paluk and Men Paluk who lived a very happy life. As a farmer, Pan Paluk worked hard in his rice fields every day while Men Paluk was a good wife, looking after her child and preparing delicious food for her husband. On one shiny day, both Pan Paluk and Men Paluk set off to the rice fields. It was harvest time and he needed a helping hand. At lunch time, the wife asked the husband to take the meal she had prepared. It was made of white rice, a small portion of vegetables, shrimp, meat and spices wrapped in banana leaves. To keep the food hot, Men Paluk initiated it by wrapping the rice and its condiment with a banana leaf and she grilled it over the charcoal fire until the leaf looked burnt. Then Pan Paluk had lunch together with his wife at a hut beside the rice field. The combined flavors of the banana leaf and the unique taste of the spices was something they enjoyed so much. Kafé Bunuté offers you the same experience for a culinary journey to bring back home unique memories of your holiday in Bali.

A Signature dish of ancient Balinese delight, It's made of white rice, a small portion of vegetables, shrimps, meat and spices. Wrapped in banana leaves. Shrimps tossed with grated coconut, snail soup, spiced chicken satay.
